A walker-talker built around your friends
The world gives your group puzzles and discoveries, but communication is the real shared tool. These are the core systems House House currently confirms.
Talk like you are there
Proximity voices fade with distance, echo through corridors, muffle behind walls, and travel through walkie-talkies.
Find the route together
Explore at your own pace, solve challenges, and improvise when the group gets separated or suddenly cannot speak.
Leave room to mess around
The adventure has a beginning and an ending, but it also makes room to wander, watch the sunset, and play with the world's tools.
Set the crew up once
Big Walk is designed for an organized group, not a random lobby. The host owns the save and chooses the world version when starting a session.
Choose the two-player world version for a tighter shared journey.
The world can adapt specifically around a three-player starting group.
Choose the 4+ version, then bring a larger group when schedules allow.
Crew checklist
- 1
Pick one reliable host. The host keeps the automatic save and must return to continue it.
- 2
Choose the minimum group size. Select 2, 3, or 4+ when the host starts the world.
- 3
Share a Join Code. Friends can join through their platform list or a fresh session code.
- 4
Add a password when needed. Protect the session, especially if the group is streaming.
The chat system is part of the puzzle
Use the built-in voice or text chat so distance, walls, silence, and communication tools can shape the experience as intended.
Voice and text follow the world
Text chat is a full microphone-free option, but it follows the same spatial rules: distant messages fade from reach, barriers can block them, and walkie-talkies can relay them.
Best experience: avoid an outside party chat. It bypasses situations that are deliberately built around losing contact.
Confirmed accessibility options
House House documents alternatives for communication, movement comfort, controls, and challenges that may otherwise block a player.
Play the full adventure through the built-in spatial text system without a microphone.
The host can enable challenge skipping for hearing, speech, reaction, or fine-motor barriers.
Choose motion-reduction overlays; Windows and Mac players can also adjust field of view.
Rebind controls, choose crosshair styles, and switch supported actions between hold and toggle.
One crew across four storefronts
Crossplay connects the confirmed versions. No Xbox, original Switch, PlayStation 4, Linux, or mobile version is currently announced.
