Discord Bot Policy

LFGPAL Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the LFGPAL Discord bot collects and how bot data is used. Last updated: May 10, 2026.

1. Scope This Privacy Policy applies to the LFGPAL Discord bot. It does not apply to unrelated LFGPAL website account, Forum, Market, or game guide data. Bot-specific policy
2. Discord Identifiers LFGPAL may store Discord user IDs, display names, usernames, server IDs, channel IDs, role IDs, message IDs for bot-created posts or giveaways, and other Discord identifiers needed to run commands, permissions, settings, rewards, giveaways, and moderation-related bot features. Discord IDs and metadata
3. Activity And Game Data LFGPAL may store bot gameplay and progression records such as coins, XP, level data, chat activity counts, voice duration totals, cards, inventory, wishlists, trades, reputation, quests, pets, minigames, savings, investing, achievements, leaderboards, reward redemptions, giveaway entries, and related history. Progression records
4. Message And Voice Handling For normal chat XP and coin-drop tracking, LFGPAL is designed to count eligible activity signals rather than store raw chat history. Text you deliberately submit through bot commands, modals, posts, reward tools, giveaways, or settings can be stored as feature data. LFGPAL tracks voice duration for XP and requirements, but does not record voice audio. No audio recording
5. Server Configuration Data LFGPAL may store server settings such as enabled commands, command role limits, coin channels, level settings, announcement channels, announcement templates, level roles, giveaway requirements, reward catalog entries, and staff-managed configuration. Guild settings
6. What Is Not Collected LFGPAL does not need payment card data, government IDs, account passwords, or Discord bot tokens from users. The website integration does not enable user image uploads. Bot secrets, Discord client secrets, and API keys must never be placed in frontend code or public repositories. Secret safety
7. How Data Is Used Data is used to operate commands, calculate XP and rewards, show profiles and leaderboards, manage inventories and trades, run giveaways, enforce cooldowns and permission rules, prevent abuse, debug problems, maintain service reliability, and support server configuration. Operational use only
8. Storage And Sharing The bot stores operational data in its bot database, currently separate from the LFGPAL website database by default. Data may be processed by hosting, database, logging, and Discord API services needed to run the bot. LFGPAL does not sell bot user data. Separate bot data
9. Retention And Removal Bot data may be kept while needed for active features, auditability, abuse prevention, backups, or maintenance. Removing the bot from a server stops new bot activity there, but existing records may remain until cleaned up or removed through an approved request. Retention depends on feature needs
10. Choices And Controls Server owners and administrators can control whether the bot is installed, which permissions it has, and which bot features are enabled in their server. Members can stop using commands, ask server staff about bot settings, or request review of stored bot records through the server administrator or official LFGPAL support path when available. Server-level controls
11. Security LFGPAL should keep secrets server-side, limit server data by Discord permissions, and avoid exposing server configuration to users who do not manage that Discord server. No security system is perfect, and users should avoid sending sensitive personal information through bot commands. Permission-gated design
12. Changes And Contact This Privacy Policy may be updated as LFGPAL changes. Privacy questions or removal requests should be routed through the server administrator who added LFGPAL or through the official LFGPAL support path when one is available. Terms of Service
